I'm halfway between changing from my regular clothes into my costume when Cass rushes in and clings to me. Cass rushing me while I'm just in my boxers isn't necessarily new, but I get the sense that this is different. For one, she's just holding me tight, almost desperately, like she's trying to press herself into me.

She's more upset than I've ever seen her. But it's more than upset, she's sad about something. I don't know what, but I immediately hate that it is. She's had enough bad things in her life, I don't want her to be sad.

There's probably not much I can do to help, so I just hold her close and stroke her hair.
