I wrap my arms around her tighter, practically folding her into me. I've never had to do anything like this before and it's not all that bad. It's protecting someone, but without punching anyone. That's weird.

"I'll try," I tell her in regards to the Jackal. That's about all I can do, because if I have the chance to kill him I'm not going to let it slip away while I wait for her to show up.

"And staying in is fine."
