The shower is on, the sound echoing through his apartment as she moves silently through it. She discards her shirt, leaving it without sound on the floor before she moves into the bathroom allowing steam to escape before she slips in. His back is to her as she moves in behind him, one small hand sliding around his waist before gliding across his stomach.

She loves the feel of him beneath her hands; the strong muscle giving way to her scarred hands, the way he tenses and relaxes at her touch, the way he enjoys it and the way she does too. Leaning up onto her tiptoes she caught the bottom of his earlobe with her teeth before biting him sharply, lips smiling against his skin. Her other hand slid down his thigh, her hands saying hello to him even before her mouth started to talk.

"Hello," Cass said finally.

She pressed her fingertips against his jaw, enjoying the feel of stubble beneath her hands and the rough smooth feel of him. She turned her head, letting him miss her mouth at first with a wicked smirk before she let him kiss her, all rough and demanding.

She smiled into the kiss, letting out a breathy moan before kissing him rougher. She pushed him hard back against the seat, looking at him with flushed cheeks and a challenge on her lips.

I can feel how pleased she is by this, even if she's partially acting like she isn't. She likes to make a game of things but I'm getting a lot better at reading her and knowing what she's really thinking or why she's doing something.

Right now she wants to be pursued. I imagine that once we make it back to my place, she's going to make a show of trying to get away from me or at least making me wait before I get what I want.

Right now though, as my fingers run through her hair and I pull her close, I have exactly what I want. The cabbie is yelling something about keeping our clothes on but I tune him out, not caring about anything but Cassandra right now.

He doesn't let her stay away for long, his fingers run through her hair before he tugged her closer again. Sliding smoothly onto his lap, she made a soft hmmm noise as she almost brushed a kiss against his mouth but letting it land on his cheek instead.

Smiling a little, she caught his bottom lip with her teeth biting a little before she kissed him. Ignoring the cabbie as he announced their arrival at his place, she removed Kaine's wallet from his pocket before relieving him of money. She kissed him for a moment longer, pressing her fingertips against his chest before she bolted out of the cab and through the doors.

I growl and head out of the cab after her. I'm not angry though, just playful. I'm not often the one pursuing, usually there's no need with Cass, but she's got me so worked up and is playing hard to get it's kind of fun.

She's fast, and I'm faster, but it's no fun if I catch her right away. She scrambles up the stairs with a natural grace and speed, but mine is unnatural. I keep right behind her, close enough to catch her if she doesn't go as fast as she can, but I don't catch her just yet.

"You don't need to go slow on purpose," I say, taunting her.

He has an unnatural grace and speed, metagenes but hers was not meta. She wasn't meta but they had measured her speed, it went up there. Faster than some. And she used that now to push on, dart ahead of him before shutting the door behind her. Putting that between him and her.

She grinned, letting the door go before she unlocked the door to Kaine's apartment waiting for a moment for him to catch up with her.

For a moment I consider just smashing the door but that would draw more attention than I want. It slows me down a bit to get it open and follow after her but I'm not too far behind her when she's at my door.

I give her an almost wolfish grin, full of desire and playfulness. We're both in a teasing mood so I figure we should get some mileage out of this.

"Gonna get you," I promise.

Cass grinned back, pressing back against the door as she slowly began to unlock it letting him catch up with her until he was almost on top of her. She leaned forward, almost brushing his lips before she unlocked the door and kicked it open. She darted out of his way quick and nimble before he could catch up.

"Too slow," Cass replied lightly.

I shut the door behind me and lock it, slowing me down some, but it's not like she can get away and I don't want someone coming in uninvited. Besides, I'm pretty sure we both know how this is going to end and we're both looking forward to it.

"It's no use. In case you didn't know, spiders prey on bats."

"Do they? Maybe not this bat," Cassandra replied, pressing her back against his bedroom door. She looked at him wickedly, pressing her tongue against her lips as she watched him slowly. "Come here."

"Especially you," I say, stalking toward her. Just because we're being playful doesn't mean I don't need to be wary of her.

It hits me then that I'm being playful. If I wasn't so in the moment and concerned about Cass doing something unexpected, I would have been more weirded out by the playful thing. I'll probably be bothered by it later.

Cass grinned, twisting her hand behind her back until her hand was on the doorknob. She pressed her foot against the door, tilting her head up and staring up at him defiantly at him as he stalked towards her.

"Shut up and kiss me," Cass said, grabbing his shirt and pulling him hard towards her.

I normally like arguing with Cass, but I don't see any reason to do so this time. I lean down to kiss her hard, reaching to grab her legs and pull her up so that her legs are wrapped around me and her head is the same height as mine.

My kisses are almost fierce in their intensity as I eagerly give in to my desires. I rarely give in to her like this so easily, but tonight it seems okay. I'm not going to hold back or make her draw me out. I want this, I want her.
